    How long should primary be?

Thanks! I will read that! Guess I sound like a NOOB! Thats why I'm here though so I understand and not just following a cake recipe.

Question about Sediment on Carboy wall

Hmmm...I did check the FG and the reading matched the recommended final gravity from the recipe. Any other reason why this might happen? I usually wait at least a week in primary, then check the gravity and if it looks right I will rack to secondary. That is exactly what I did here. Plus the...

Chad, thanks for the reply. Yes I took a hydrometer reading and it was 1.014 so I think it's okay. The secondary was a little more vigorous than usual. Question about Sediment on Carboy wall

  9. Another Picture of my Kolsch, or the Pilsner recipe with German/Kolsch ale yeast. I was trying to get some light through it. It tastes great! Caramelly, hoppy, and beery!
Lots of body and very thirst quenching.

  10. My first dry hop. An IPA, I substituted some of the light extract with dark extract. The recipe called for 7lbs light but I used 4lbs light/3 lbs dark and I replaced the two row in the steeping bag with choc/dark malt. If it turns out good I'll put the ex
