    Tasting My First Brew

    The guy at the LHBS convinced me to try a clone of Rapier Wit to cut my teeth. It had been bottle conditioning for two weeks when I put a couple in the fridge. I just opened one today after work (3 days @ 38°) and I'm not sure if it's just pride but this is a pretty good beer. It's not carbed...

    Post Brew Day (night) Thoughts

    I started my first batch last night and realized I didn't have a good thermometer for the task. I ended up using binder clip on the side of my kettle to hold the probe of an oven thermometer. Worked fairly well and had the benefit of having a temperature alarm as well as a timer.
