    Hoppy Amber Recipe Critique

    Leaf hops ? Roll some up and smoke it... Better yet. Bong hits while drinking this. OK seriously sounds good. Lots of layers of hop flavour plus nice color and body to boot. Sounds like a balance between a medium bodied beer w some stout attributes and the whole gamut of hop goodness.

    Help. PLEASE help a brother out. I figure you'se guys know how to drink beer. My question is this: Do any of you drink your beer w/ a piece of fruit? Lemon, orange, grapefruit, mango, kiwi or whatever. Me, I'm a beer purist. Gimme beer and give it now. nekkid and pure. just wondering

    Yup..I guess doing the big beer was fine, my first lesson is I see that this is not a sport of instant gratification. If I rush, i'll prolly get bottle bombs I'll be brewing ESB tomorrow and prolly next week a wheat beer

    Venturing into small batch BIAB

    I just did a 3.5 gallon boil for 120 minutes and I had close to 2 gallons at the end. The boil was slow to start, still rolling then I jacked it up to a vigorous boil for the last 1.5 hrs. so 1.5 hrs 3.5 gallons lost 1.5 in 120mins BTW, I have the same propane burner and it does not like to go...

    Ok fine, have it bubbling away in a carboy @ 66 degrees. Im sure I did plenty wrong, however I did learn and drank a bunch of brew while learning. The probe thermometer got wet along the way and stuck at 147 for a while. I dried it out and will look at sealing it. I got 1.112 after boil so I...
