Posted this on Facebook HBN Classifieds already, but here for those non-facebookers: Because I am moving and where we are going is much smaller than where we are at now I have no choice really but to sell my brewing stuff. I've loved the hobby for 10 years now, but I just dont find myself doing...

I've since updated to the FTS - it is definitely the way to go.

    SS Brewbucket Review

Ah yes, I hooked the blowoff tube up to an S-Type airlock, and used a rubber band around one of the tension locked and just righted around the base of the S-Lock. Simple and works.

    SS Brewbucket Review

I bought two wine fridges for my buckets. They were about $399 each, but we drink a lot of wine and have other uses for them outside just brewing, however, I wanted to add that I have moved onto using a FTS system drawing cool water from within the fridge now. Just using the fridge has the same...

Help me solve the caramel note mystery.

Yes, I agree with you on all points. I shouldnt say hoppier, as if a step below an IPA, but colloqially compared to the Kolsch or Blonde. The hops in this beer should be present, but I think at almost 40ibu and with a relatively light grainbill, I would expect a bit more hop presence. Its...

The devil is in the details as they say, so im going to lay it all out there and maybe someone has an idea or solution. The Problem: Ive...

    RIMS and SRM

Saw this post from way back when. Figured I would respond. I moved over to Recirc mashing over direct fire about 2 years ago, and about 4 months ago moved over to a proper RIMS tube. Ive done at least 25 batches in that time, maybe more, and YES, I have noticed that my wort is considerable...

    Water Conservation When Brewing

Thank you Matt for your insight. While I certainly appreciate your input, not everyone may brew like you do. Furthermore, I've spent enough time with other Brewers to see certain habits of theirs and make notes accordingly. Had you written the article, perhaps you would have done so differently...

    Brew bucket Suckback Q's

Perhaps you're right. I've got a few of those hanging around, too. Thanks for the tips!

    Brew bucket Suckback Q's

Hi Cannman, I would love to do what you suggest, but you can't fit an airlock into the brewbuckets without removing the giant lid and disassembling the blowoff tube adapter. It's the same size as a paint bucket lid, so lots of oxygen exposure. That's my problem. It's a little bit less narrow...
