The best case is to get your wort down to room temperature to pitch. If you have liquid yeast you want that at the same room temp. Yeast doesn't like to go into wort over about 100 degrees, could kill it if too hot. If you are seeing signs of visible ferment then you should be OK.
You might also think about putting your cases of bottles in garbage bags to reduce clean up, if you suspect you may have extra carbonation causing one to pop.
