The forum should know that since August of 2014 it is legal to make hard liquor at home in Missouri.

Just hook up a piece of tubing to CO2 quick disconnect and run it into a jar of Star-San for blow off and venting. No need to cut off the dip tube. When you transfer just collect a small amount of beer until it runs clear than transfer the rest.

I've had this happen. I've upped the CO2 pressure to 40 or so pounds and the increased pressure gets the seal to work, then just reduce the pressure to the desired amount once the o ring is seated.

All I ever use is the nutrient pack in the smack pack and never had a problem.

These are great bags and well worth the $$$$
