Well I wish I had the time to dedicate to reading every post on here about secondary fermentation. Just looking for some answers and you could have pointed me in the right direction with out being a dbag about it.
I have read alot of post saying that secondary is not really needed. I thought the yeast would give an off taste to the brew if left in to long past fermentation?
Im gonna give it a little bit and then check it with the hydrometer. If it doesnt start fermenting I will be checking back in for advice. Thanks again for the help

A few questions again from a novice brewer. I was brewing my second batch a porter and all was goin well until my daughter snuck up and plopped a pot holder in my beer while I was getting a temp reading in the fermenter.

WCrane thanks for the help. I did take a reading when I transfered it to the carboy and it was in the range that was on the recipe for end of fermentation. Looks like I will have to drink more dog fish head for bottles.lol
