the AHB arrogent bastard is a great recipie. i was in their store recently and notcied they limited the amount of yeast and hops one could buy in a visit but i would immagine they made a good substitution
im actually cleaning mine tonight what i normally do is i fill my keg with cleaner and open the tap run all 5 gal through it and its clean as a whistle
then sanitize the keg and run a gal of sani through the lines

whats even more annoying is im in austin and they call shiner an import at some places its like i can damn near hit the brewery with a stone and they call it an import i dont mind when they call it a premium (even though its not)

really because on my ball lock keg the fittings are different size
i got a question can you take a ball or pin keg and screw in the fittings from the other type? do they interchange
i started brewing in augest/ september and i managed to get 60 gal in started with extract to mini mash and on christmas eve did my first all grain brew

its hard to kill yeast by going too cold its should be good to almost freezing im the bake shop we stored yeast in the refrigerator at about 36 degreese
AHB is great i live in austin so i end up in that store once a week very cool knowelegable staff good prices if anyone wants to brew some good stuff ferom them try their belgum devils brew its nice and hoppy or their wheat stout my personal favorite so far

ok well it doesint appear to be bubbles because like i said it was a solid film so i agitated it and it broke up and stayed in small pieces
could irish moss cause this condition?? this is the first brew i used IM on

it doesint appear to be fuzzy but its a very thin film i agitated it and it styaed on top didnt want to sink
plus i noticed there is a small crack in the little cup on my air lock the part that moves up and down with the bubbles

after a week in the secondary i looked at a brew and it had a whiteish grey film on top i agitated it and it broke up but seemed to sta together

yes bacteria can be dormate in ice from the store or wherever you get it but i would worrie more about mold spores because freezers and icemakers are notorious for mold
i would make my own block of ice just sanitize the container you freeze in then put a lid on it and freeze and you should...
there is a special tape that picture framers use called ATG adheasive tape glue
and thats exactly what it is. a tape that you apply around the perimeter then you peel the backing like a double stick tape but its thin and comes off glass

i put my bottles in clean ice chests i keep a wash tub on the back porch (thats where i do most of my drinking) and i throw the bottles in there with bleach water as i finish them and when i have extra time or i need my washtub its also my wort chiller i clean the bottles and throw em in a ice...
