    Side by Side Fermenter/Keggerator

When I built mine following cas3439's build, I used the STC-1000's. Go for it.

Fermentation chamber - heating source necessary?

This is what I use...http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005Q1APZS/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 I didn't pay that much though - I think $20 or so. You might need to shop around.

I realize this is an old thread, but just wanted to thank OP for all your work documenting the process. I have a similar fridge and followed this build VERY closely doing mine over the last couple weeks. It was most useful and the fridge is working great!

    Caribou Slobber

I was converting a NB Extract Kit to a full boil a few months back and asked NB. Here was their reply: The general rule of thumb that I would follow for doing one of our extract kits as a full boil would be to add all of the extract at the beginning (no late extract additions), and to follow...

    Fire!!!

On my first full boil, I set a towel on fire. When I took the kettle off the burner to add LME, the handles were too hot to handle. Not having pot holders handy (in the garage), I grabbed a towel and apparently got too close to the flame on my burner. The handles never got hot when I was doing...

    What time do you brew?

I'm on the night shift for brewing - between the 2yr old, 3mo old and SWMBO, I usually get a late start. Brewed last night from 10:30pm-2:30am. Little groggy this morning - not sure if it was the 5 hours of sleep or the beers I drank while brewing!

My spin on "Smack pack arrived smacked!"

This may not be ideal, but its worked for me. Twice, I've "fixed" a smack pack. My first experience with Wyeast, I smacked too hard and blew a hole in the package. It was only my second brew, so I moderately freaked out but came up with what turned out to be a decent solution. I took my spray...

    Homebrew Pouring Instructions

The bottle SHOULD be at 90ish, no? I'm telling them to tilt the glass to a 45. Good thought on the upright storage, I'll add that.

    Homebrew Pouring Instructions

All, I've seen a couple discussions on this but I didn't see anything available to just print off and give to a newb. I've been asked to provide some homebrew on a couple occasions where I will not be present and therefore unable to train the uninitiated on how to properly pour a homebrew. I...
