    I find that mixing gelatin into a warm keg (50-60 american degrees) and then letting it chill to serving (38) clarified better. Maybe gelatin mixes thru the keg better when its warm? I give it a twist or two as far as manual mixing

    Its still early.. So you could wait....... Or you could boil a pint of water with a pound of sugar (maybe some extract too) and toss that into the fermenter. Take that beer up to triple-land! A nice Holiday IPA

    Hell yea its possible. I bet I can drink enough beer to weaken my immune system. I know I could chug enough green beer to wipe out beneficial oral bacteria and give C albicans an opportunity to take over... Most of us will get diabetes or a fat liver first.

    Yes. If you are recirculating through the mash and that mash is filtering that it is as good as vorlauf. If you fly sparge your good to go. if you batch sparge you will need to vorlauf again if you want clear wort.

    When preforming an open transfer (exposed to some amount of oxygen, racking cain etc) which beer picks up more O2? A beer at 34 or 68 degrees? Does that matter?

    I just had a pint of sticky hands from the tap at The Horse Brass and I would SWEAR it had a Crystal Malt in it. Beyond the 5-7% carafoam suggested. Im thinking 5-8% crystal 40 or so??

    New to kegging. What size CO2 cylinder should I get?

    5 lbs cylinder gets me 8-10 corny kegs. Thats 6 months for me.. Its a good place to start. Of coarse I would trade it for a 10 lbs.
