Guys, sorry for the delay, I've been out of town for Christmas vacation for the last week. The kegging setup is sold and have a few more kegs pending. Someone is coming to look at the whole brew system today, so I will update this thread here later on with what's still available.

have you tried using a recirculating pump with ice water in it once you get it down to 100 with the hose water? if push comes to shove, you could do it the way you've outlined, i used to cold crash my lagers for like 24 hrs and rack the beer off the hops/trub before fermenting and it worked fine.

i'd guess it came in with the berries. i'd let it bulk age and see what kind of pellicle develops.
