That's probably true, unfortunately. My plan was to go the first day it's available and hopefully get some. I guess the bright side is that it'll taste better after aging for a year!

This same exact thing happened to me with my last batch. I didn't check to see if everything was held together tightly, and the hose popped off in the middle of my chill. It's still in the primary after 2.5 weeks and no infection, I'm transferring to secondary soon. Hopefully everything turns...
