I received a nitro tap system for my kegerater, and got an obscene amount of Columbus hops from a friend (my freezer is stuffed). :D
Anyone got recipe suggestions for an AG nitro pale ale using all (or mostly) Columbus?
I am from Yakima. The brew supply shops are limited (the best place I have found is in the corner of an Ace Hardware). There is at least one brew club but I don't know much about them. There is plenty to do here if you like outdoors activities (hike, fish, hunt, etc).
My second favorite, and most often heard funny thing said about beer is when talking beer with [insert your own adjective] people, and they say they cant drink Lagers because they are too dark/bitter, so they only drink beers like Bud,Miller,Coors :cross:
I was once in a brewpub in St Charles, just outside of St Louis, where I was trying (note I did not say enjoying) their beer sampler. I asked about the hops they used in a few of their brews and after a bit of gibberish the waiter proudly proclaimed that their blueberry beer (it was even worse...
Been a brewer for over 15years. Took a few years off, and am getting back into it (just brewed an AG amber, first AG batch in about 4 years and it felt GOOD!). I am also trying to upgrade my equipment (need a pump and to rebuild one of my kettles). :mug::mug:
