    I had no visible signs of fermentation after 24 hours, so I added another pack of yeast directly to the carboy. This morning (10 hours after adding yeast) there's nice action in the airlock. Thanks for all of the help guys. I Appreciate it.

    I'm going to add more yeast now and see what happens !! I was already advised to add more extract, however I was told that it is already sanitized, so I simply poured 3 lbs of dry extract right into the carboy and shook it up real good.. What do you think? .. Would I have been better advised...

    It was pretty warm. I boiled the water and then only let it sit for a couple of minutes before putting the yeast in.

    It's been 12 hours now and there's no signs of fermentation. Looks like I screwed up the yeast. Can I add more yeast now, or do I pour it down the drain and start over?
