    Can I bottle now?

All of the IPA was successfully bottled. I used 24, amber 22 oz. bottles and was also able to fill up 5 12oz. bottles. Can't wait to taste it in 10 days. Guess what? Now I can start on my second batch, and maybe i can be a little more patient. ________________ On deck: Red Ale Primary...

    Sanitizing bottles

Great, well I used 22 oz amber bottles so I knew I'd have some left over. I was able to bottle 24 of the 22oz bottles and 5 12 oz bottles. Now the hardest part of making beer...WAITING. Why?...Why?....

I know, I should be making bourbon

Thanks for the hardy welcome, i've already received great feedback about some bottling questions I've had. Bottled my IPA last night and it looked and smelled like beer. Took a little sip, hope that's ok, and it tasted like a flat IPA, but hey, at least it tasted like BEER!

I know, I should be making bourbon

Hello, from Louisville, KY, where horse-racing, basketball, and bourbon are the first things that probably come to your mind. But I LOVE beer. My brother, who I've determined is a GENIUS, bought me a home brew equipment kit for Christmas. My first batch of beer, an IPA, is done fermenting...

    Sanitizing bottles

This is my first post and first batch, so bear with me. I've got a question about sanitizing before bottling. I've got an Brewers Best IPA that has had two weeks in my primary and ready for bottling. I soaked my bottles in a bleach/water solution, ran the dishwasher empty with no soap, then...
