I'm an aspiring culinary student who appreciates beer in my free time. I may have started drinking a little young but I never had more than a beer a day. And I always savored the taste. When I was about 14 my grandpa got me interested in beer by brewing his own. His first batches were god awful but they got successively better as he went on. Unfortunately his note taking techniques hearken back to times of "a pinch" and "a dash" and lack the scientific recipes known by avid brewers.
After he died my father and I attempted to carry on this tradition by brewing our own batch. And it was pretty good except that it had a lot of residual floating in the bottle. But filter them out and it turned out to be a good brew.

I plan to hone my skills and come up with some good brews that I could some day use in my own BrewPub
