    LHBS near Cleveland, OH

Ah, thank you! I forgot they had a small supply of homebrew ingredients. But I'll keep them in mind and check them out.

    LHBS near Cleveland, OH

I'm on the west side of Cleveland, and JW Dover has been my LHBS for a while. I drove up there the other day to find the place empty with a "For Lease" sign in the window. All I need is a single sachet of either ale or champagne yeast for a batch of cider. Anyone know of any other shops in...

Thanks! Might give it a shot this weekend if I can get to the LHBS.

How would the grain bill change for a partial mash version of this recipe? This looks delicious, want to make it for my first partial mash brew instead of all extract/steeping.

    "autumn"/"harvest" ale recipe

I'm thinking more malt forward. The problem is that I really have no idea what I want, and brown ales really aren't my favorite, but I can't really think of anything else to make. Maybe I'll just get to work on a winter warmer a bit early.

    "autumn"/"harvest" ale recipe

I'm thinking something like a brown ale is what I'm leaning towards. Just wanted to throw it out there in case someone had a good style that I hadn't thought of. I should note that I don't have the ability to lager.

    "autumn"/"harvest" ale recipe

Hey all, I'm looking to brew something hearty to drink this fall that is not a Christmas beer or pumpkin beer or Oktoberfest or porter/stout. Preferably something reasonably dark, focused more on malt than hops. Something like Great Lakes' Nosferatu. I think I'm trying to find something...

Finally took a measurement today after 9 days in the primary. The beer is very cloudy, but the SG is right down where it should be (1.017 or so), so I'm in good shape. Thanks for the advice, all.

Thanks, Toga, I looked up the spec sheet for this year and see that you're right. Not sure how I got in my head that it was too low. I probably just assumed that since I didn't see any activity in the airlock until the wort warned up a bit.

Great, thanks! I'll take a reading later today and see how we're sitting.

Hey all, first time poster here. I'm on my sixth batch, and so far things have gone well enough. Last Sunday, I brewed a 5 gallon batch of Brewers Best's double IPA. It came with a single packet of Safale 05, and specifically said not to rehydrate. After I pitched, I took the primary to the...
