    Moldy Stout

That would make perfect sense, do you think a top half stir from time to time would help prevent this? We do this when we make wine from real fruit and it has never molded up. I think as long as you go with a third firm for the beer to clear it might work. Thoughts?

    Moldy Stout

Hey all just a quick one on the beginner side. I made a Blackberry Stout recently using real Blackberries in the secondary. After 2 weeks in the secondary I noticed a few spots that looked like floating mold patches. Is this normal? And the answer to your next question is yes, I bottled and...

Do pre-hopped LME kits benefit from boiling

I think its more of a sanitatry thing. I do kit Pilsner as a filler beer if I know that there will be heavy consumption on the horizon. That way I don't have to use all my good beer! If you heat your malt extract on the stove in a pot of water first it will pour right out without having to...

    PH perfect?

Hey everybody this is my first post on here. I have been brewing now like crazy for about a year," hi my name is Steve and I am a brewaholic"! Anyway, now that I have it down somewhat I would like to improve my quality of beer by making my water more beer friendly. What is a good PH for...
