Bobby - quick follow up, I assume the 3 gallons / 1 pound is scalable, I may need more than three gallons to keep my heating element submerged, so I just want to confirm that on the ratio’s.
Another question - would this solution work to remove buildup from my boil kettle (hop / wort...
I’ve taken a hiatus from brewing (about a year and a half off) and when I looked at my Spike Trio HLT I found some dark spots in the bottom of my kettle. I got most of it off, but still some spots or staining in the bottom of the kettle (see pic). This is my HLT so it may have been some residual...
It occurred to me as I was putting the labels on that I didn’t include the ABV…. It’s 10.2%.
The label was a bing AI image generator product - it’s either Dutch or gibberish - since I don’t speak Dutch I wasn’t sure - but I liked the look overall so I went with it.
Glad you enjoyed it.
I’m a day behind so just getting to the spiced stout. Pours a deep black / brown with a thick brown head. Get hints of cinnamon and lots of black licorice (assume from the star anise).
An enjoyable beer!
Enjoying @mjdonnelly68 ’s single tonight. Agree with the previous post, get the spices upfront along with a dark fruit (raisin) - love the color and carbonation is spot on.
I gotta say - with 4 of the 12 revealed at this point - I’m a bit nervous when mine comes up.
Cheers all!
Had the Junioer Rye Bock tonight. The rye really shines (like others that have posted I really like rye, in all forms). I get a dark berry or fruit flavor almost like raisins, I’m suspecting that’s the juniper berry. Really nice beer. Enjoying this a lot tonight.
