    Not sure what efficiency they are going for..it doesnt say. The only thing it gives is sg and og..but higher doesnt sound bad imo...could be due to higher mash temp? Not sure. Happy brewing tho and lemme know the turnout.

    Not bad...take the gypsum out tho..ill have to edit the recipe when i geta chance...i just cracked a few from my last one on friday did 123 method and carbed with cane...used 2 oz for bittering and 1 for flavor...its good but not as balanced so next time i might try using 1 n 1 see how tht turns out

    ive brewed a brown ale all grain kit a few times that includes gypsum. although recently i was reading up on the brown ale style and came across a website that stated sulfates were not desirable in browns so to stay away from the use of gypsum. it does not however say why or what affect it has...

    will probably experiment with some honey malt and possibly MO or Golden Promise as base next time around for a bit more sweetness. but, as is its a decent beer. pops is a bmc drinker and he said he was surprised at how good it was.

    Color "Layers" in Carboy Fermenter?

    once primary fermentation is over if you are transferring to secondary or if not a couple days before before bottling. and if you are transferring to a secondary you could put the secondary fermentor in the fridge for a couple days as well before bottling to drop some more particles from suspension.

    i do see what your saying..havnt brewed yet doing that tomorrow. i planned on combining the entire wort in my fermentor (only thing i have big enough to hold it all) before boiling so that the grav will be the same for both pots..gonna try to get the same amounts in both pots now that you said...
