I wiped it off (most) and filled up near the top. It smells like wine! Is there anything else i need to do?

Hey! I started a grape juice wine(first ever batch) on october the eleventh. There is some white stuff near the neck of the jug. Is this contamination? Should i be worried? What do i do? Lol

Ya they are glass, ibc root beer bottles. Is there any trick to capping them or do i have to wingit?

Hello! I am new to brewing, and i am looking for every way possible to save money. Iam going to bottle in about a month. I was thinking of buying a case of rootbeers and recycling the bottles for bottling. How would i clean the bottles, or is this even advisable? Thanks!

Hello all! I started my first batch of mead on 10/11/13, and so far it is bubbling and everything BUT I think I may have done something wrong. When I shook it up, it foamed a little bit, and I didn't wash the foam stuff back into the liquid. Now it looks like there is some yeast (or something)...
