Inside HLT- This is the inside of the HLT. The valve sits just under an inch off the bottom of the kettle. I could have positioned it about 1/4 lower in hindsight.

Outside HLT- I positioned the valve under the handle to make it less likely to bang the valve against my body while lifting it.
