Just curious how well this turned out for you? I realize much of the design came from a large size c-clamp and I am sitting here looking at one of my own c clamps, thinking, maybe I should try this!
Keep in mind I am making up my own terms... What parts did you need to buy? What did you use to make the crowning cap, and the barrel and the spring post. Looks like you just used some scrap angle steel, a rod, and the c-clamp handle for the handle.
I would love to make one of these over the summer and would love some advice. It may not save a lot of money, but I love to make myself anything I can buy, you enjoy it more and it can be better! That's why we are all in this hobby anyways, right?
