Whats wrong with this beer

I brewed a brown ale 12 days ago and pitched an American ale yeast that a friend had washed and given me. It was my first time not using a smack pack. The FG is pretty close but there is an usual taste. I'm going to post a pic. Can anyone offer suggestions and/ or answers

Picture doesn't look like anything wrong to me.. a little more info might help though. What is the off flavor like? Sounds like you're assuming it's a yeast issue (which it may be), but not necessarily...
