Yup, my father and I are half partners on an old 1988 Crestliner hull and the stock Merc 454 was dog tired. New 502 crate shortblock. Had it in the boat one season until we nearly sunk the whole thing hitting some rocks. It's going back in the water in the spring if I can get away from the family enough to work on it.
