Mine is a single tier design using 3 pumps (HLT, MT, BK), 2 Hurricane burners, and a slew of SS ball valves to move fluids around.
I'm now in the process of automating the burners using 10 - count 'em - 10 Omega CN9000A PIDs, plus an Omega pH controller.
OK, only 3 of them will actually be controlling anything other than an alarm, but I was going for the bling factor in monitoring temps throughout. I'll even monitor my chill water inflow and outflow so I can time when to immerse the pre-chiller into the ice bath! :)
The pH controller will control power to the MT pump, turning off the pump and stopping the sparge if I ever hit a pH of 5.3.
