And here you can see where the bottom of the sisal twine "vee" is anchored. Don't those hops look happy climbing up the twine? I actually cut the twine at the base of the vee, just in case some catastrophe like an errant horseshoe toss, or an overzealous weed-wacker, should happen to strike one of the lines. This way, it will only destroy half of one hop plant (one vine), rather than the whole thing.
