First- just let me say, this is a dumb question....

Does it stand to reason that if I want to make a 20 gallon yeast starter- it's just 4 times a 5 gallon yeast starter?

    thanks!

Not a dumb question. It's not always that simple, there are calculators available online that will help you get a proper pitch rate. Try mr. Malty and see what it tells you.
