Does anyone know of a good source for White Peppercorns? I have seen green and black but not white.

    Thanks, Tim

I've honestly never seen them. Black, Green, and Pink corns but I've always seen white pepper ground.

Try Sur La Table or Williams and Sanoma.

Guess I'll look to the grocery stores. I wish brew shops i order from would carry it.

Even K-Mart carries them evidently, but WHOA, a 2.4 ounce jar of them costs 20 bucks. If you only need a little, you could try a bulk food/spice place. I have a bulk food warehouse that I go to all the time for my spices. Much cheaper than the grocery store, and you can control how much you want to buy.

Actually, I got some at HEB here in Texas several years back for some peppercorn vinegars I was making for the holidays. You got a local HEB?

For those scratching their heads at this moment, HEB is a Texas ran, family owned grocery chain. Very popular and generally reasonably price. Central Market is the yuppie spin-off of HEB, catering to the organic and upper-scale products.

I was looking at my spice cabinet while cleaning the kitchen for brewday tomorrow.

I have a "McCormick peppercorn medley grinder" that has white, black, and pink corns in it. The grinder should unscrew right off. I don't know if it has enough white corns for your needs.

Thanks for the replies. I will first hit up my local grocery stores. Then if I cant find them I will try a central market.

    Thanks again, Tim
