Yeah, it seems like interesting data to have, but unless you're planning on going commercial I don't know how useful it would be. And $139 is a good bit to be spending considering the 4 batches or so I could be making with it.

I'm certainly interested but with out having a full time job being a college student I can't justify spending on lab fees when I can buy two sacks of grain at the LHBS. Plus I'm a biotech major so I'll be able to do some testing on my own soon enough. Hell I'm interning at a small brewery next semester.

I'd love to know my actual IBUs and contamination and the diacetyl test would be nice (since I don't detect it well).

Would there be an 'ideal' type/style of beer to send in? Seems super strong or super hoppy beers wouldn't be the best choice. Maybe send in one that was made with relatively new and known-to-be-clean yeast (i.e. dry yeast or straight from a couple of vials/smackpacks) and another that was several generations of repitching to see how well your sanitation is.

EDIT: Do they test for oxidation? That's another one I'd really like to see.
