Just curious...when you make a starter (with or without a stir plate) where do you keep it? My temp in my house fluctuates a lot so I want I'm trying to think of a good place to store my starters. No stir plate yet but that is one of the next items on my long list of things I want.

i keep mine on the kitchen table, no stir plate, but it's a great spot to remind me to shake it every time i walk by.

I don't have a stir plate either. I just keep it on the kitchen counter and give it a swirl or 2 as I walk past it.

Kitchen counter on the stirplate. Then chilled in the fridge.

Since I am trying to increase cell count, not make beer, and I decant, I am not concerned with fluctuating temperatures.
