I'm a big fan of Weyermann Pale Ale Malt...mostly because it's one of the few malts I can buy in bulk in Japan. But I really like how my APA/IPA's come out with this malt.

The local "do it all" store has a small area of supplies and they have 50# bags of Briess and 55# bags of MO.

So these are my go-2 rows.

The MO kicks ass though. I made identical beers once with each and my friends chose the MO beer unanimously.
Entered both in a competition and the MO scored better with all judges agreeing that the taste was phenomenal in that beer.
Sadly, the notebook that the recipe was in got knocked off the patio last year and into the pool.
I cannot remember specifics about the beer (like AA values for the hops), so the last time I made the beer, it just wasn't the same.

What style of beer did you do the comparison on?
Curious how MO fairs in a DIPA vs american 2 row.

It was basically a SMaSH with a little CR60L to give it some color and hopped with Cascade and dry hopped with Citra.

The MO gives it a very distinctive nutty/bready taste and the Briess just gives it a less crisp flavor.

You cannot go wrong with MO in any recipe.
