What's in Yeast Nutrient?

    What is all in the Yeat Nutrient? I was looking for an exact ingredients list online, but I had a hard time finding one...guess my Google-fu skills aren't up to snuff. :p

    di-ammonium phosphate seems to be the big one, as a source of nitrogen.

    there are probably other ingredients, like dead yeast.

    Some moonshiners will puree a carrot for yeast nutrition in 5 gallons of sugar water.

    Available lipids and phosphates, every time a yeast cell reproduces it splits into two (called budding ). This process diminishes the available lipids available to use for the next budding process (generation). Other ingredients cause the yeast to stay suspended longer.
