    Hello all,

I've pretty much got my temperature control set up, but I've never used it before so I's like some advice on precisely what I should do.

I am about to brew this kit (BrewFerm Abdij):

With this yeast (Mangrove Jack's M47 Belgian Abbey):

The yeast manufacturer recommends a range of 26 to 32 degrees C, which seems a little high compared to the other kits I have used, but I'm happy to go with it. The range is rather wide, so where should I aim for? I am using a BrewPi controller, so I can keep it at whatever temperature I need, and I can change the temperature easily.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Belgian yeasts like it hot. You can keep it right in the center of the recommended temperature range, or what I usually do (and have read some brewers do) is pitch on the low end and just let the yeast ramp up; don't try to bring them back down.

I've never used that particular yeast before, but here's a thread on it:

Ok. Thanks for the link. It seems this is a well-liked yeast. I'll see how I get on.
