That might be a stretch. Maybe at the bottleshop or in the brew house, real life maybe not so much. :drunk:

Biere de Mars here. I brewed this with warmer weather in mind and didn't think it would make it until April, but it's been cold and I've got a few left. :D

After spending all day at the ER just to find out I got a infection in the tendons of my index finger from cutting myself with a grinder at work. I'll have a few drinks tonight just to go to the hand specialist tomorrow. Good thing is I got paid for not being at work and I'll get paid tomorrow to woooohoooo :)

12 oz of unfiltered hoppy deliciousness. So, so good especially when compared to the Crooked Tree. Very similar to DFH 120 but not quite as full bodied and the hop presence is definitely more intense. The 12% ABV is hidden well, but not completely as there is a noticeable, pleasant alcohol warmth.

This stuff is great. Not as much Belgian character as it's like, but it's extremely drinkable for 8.3%

    Brew the brew!

mcbaumanerb is one hell of a brewer. This is the first of his homebrews that I have the distinct pleasure of trying and it's a great one. Great hop flavor and supportive malt backbone but finishes dry enough to focus on the bitterness. The only thing I would say for improvement is it could use some more hop aroma, but even as is it's fantastic. Well done!

I had the pleasure of having one of mcbaumannerb's breakfast nectars and it was awesome! Now I've just got to talk him into sending me a bottle of the Citra one that he did about a month back. I just bottled my Honey Citra 2 days ago and I'll trade :mug:

Thanks for the kind words and I totally agree on the aroma. I think the Citra SMaSH will make up for that though! :mug:

2011 Goose Island Sofie, here's the kicker...I was at the discount grocery store 2 days ago and saw a clerk putting these on the 50% rack by the restrooms. "Why are those 1/2 off?"...."they are too old to sell for full price"
Don't you hate it when a belgian or BW gets old....I bought all 7.

***(yes, i should be using my snifter or chalice, but these pilsner glass are a early easter gift from swmbo.) (and it's quaff time)

Founders-Better half. Had some good bourbon,slick-buttery caramel character. Not quite maple because of the burbon/booziness.More of a butteryness than maple. Was Ok,a little disapointed.
Now on to a Twisted Pine-Hoppy boy.Reminds me of my kegged Ranger but better aroma but not taste the RAnger has a way better taste but mine isnt exactly spot on (at all) with Ranger but still a good ipa now. The aroma was messed up for some reason even with dryhopping,I couldnt wait for the aroma to go away. So much for leaf hops from my lhbs anymore.Freezer burn/garabage/gassy/chemical is not a good dryhop aroma. I know I made a mistake with the batch but I think I got scewed with old hops as well.About to pull a pint of that now to compare. Good beer but terrible aroma, never had that before. Never had a bottled beer with an offensive odor like my first time kegging, its a little frustrating. Been hearing of the line giving this bad/aroma taste.

HB Arrogant Bastard. Adding 3oz Chinook to the keg made this a murky mess, damn tasty, just ugly as hell.
