Thoughts on this thermomerer?

Also, I mash in a round Rubbermaid cooler. Could I put the probe in the mash and screw the lid on over the wire? Or would I have to keep opening up the lid and sticking the probe in for each reading?

 

Not only do I think it would work, but I am also ordering one. Been using a digital aquarium thermo that maxes at 158, past that is says 'HF!'.

 

If you are only using it for mashing just drill through the lid of the cooler.
