Thermometer and probe combined

Does anyone know of a combined thermometer with a gauge and a probe?

I think it would be a great addition to a BCS type setup which would allow you a quick visual check of temps without the computer screen.

 

Yes, I think something like this might be what you are looking for. It's a basic digital thermocouple thermometer with a replaceable probe. A wide variety of probe styles are available. Any "k" type thermocouple will work with this unit:
