Just had a thought as im using my new kegerator to also freeze water jugs for my son of fermentation chiller...

Am i crazy or would it help maintain temps to have frozen jugs in the freezer portion amd to fill an empty cornie with water or something? I hear the thing kicking on and off pretty frequently. My understanding of thermal mass leads me to believe it will, but curious if anyone else makes an effort to do this, space permitting.

Yes, it will help. I keep a few jugs of water in my keggerator for the same reason.

Yes, more stuff in there will help stabilize the temp but my experience is just with a fermentation chamber (one compartment freezer with temp control), not a fridge/freezer combo unit.
