    Hey Guys,

Wanted to know what everyone is using to increase the thermal mass in their fermentor. I have a pretty large chest freezer I am using, with extra space. Right now I just have a Rubbermaid 25 gallon container in there filled with about 1/2 water. It seems to do pretty well keeping the temperature even, but wanted to know if there was anything better. Cases of soda perhaps?

Any liquid items i normally would keep in my fridge I use in my chamber. Bottled water, soda, etc. I have used a few re-filled water bottles as well.

Sounds like you need to get to brewing! :D A few more fermenters full of beer and you're good to go.

Really any additional liquid mass should help even things out. Make sure to compensate for the fact those items will need to be brought to the correct temp.

Are you aging any beers? Toss those in.
Do you keep & reuse StarSan in a 1 gallon jug? Toss that in.

Right on! I just started about a week and a half ago, but soon, I should have more in there.
