Testing the waters...

I'm having one beer tonight to see how my stomach takes it. The choice is an American Marzen-style by Victory, called Festbier. The fall season will be tough without beer, so I will sneak a couple in here and there to muddle through...

Why no beer?

 

Alcohol in general has been messing up my stomach every time I ingest it. No real cause determined yet...

 

I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully you and your Dr. will figure this out soon.

 

I'm guessing you've tried all the regular gross stuff: Tums, Pepto, Stomach pump...?

 

I get heartburn REALLLLY BAD. Wish they'd figure out a beer bypass for the stomach!

 

Good luck, dude... of course, if you find you don't have any problems anymore, how you gonna get all your **** back?

Thanks Jay. I will know tomorrow if this beer has any negative effects. Even if it doesn't, I won't be pushing the limit anymore. I love brewing, but I'm not gonna brew just to have a pint once a month...
