Hi, So I'm hoping to brew a pretty simple recipe this weekend with the hopes of being able to add to it over a few iterations to create a more complicated brew without it getting too muddled. Right now, here's what I'm thinking about for the recipe at this point. Does anyone have suggestions for how I could improve it with a few simple changes? Once again, trying to keep it simple for this first iteration.

    Grain:
10-15 # Maris Otter (I'm leaning closer to 15 atm)

    Hops:
    1 oz Magnum @ 60 min
    1 oz Citra @ 10 min
    0.5 oz Citra @ 5 min
    1.5 oz Citra @ 0 min
    2 oz Citra @ 5 days

    BIAB Mash for 60 min @ 153F
    Yeast: WLP 001

Is this too much Citra? Any other suggestions for making it a bit more interesting without making it too complicated? I haven't formulated a lot of my own recipes, and a few of the ones I've tried have come out a bit muddled, which is why I want to build this through iterations.

Looks pretty good to me. I would go with 15#'s of MO and with that hop schedule you'll have a BU:GU around 1:1 depending on the AA of the hops. That puts you inline with an American IPA. I would probably mash around 156 since you don't have anything to help with the body such as Carapils or crystal malt. But that is just me, you might like it thinner.

What yeast do you plan on using?

I was thinking WLP 001 My LHBS only carries White Labs, and they aren't great at keeping them all in stock.

I did something similar and added a pound of honey malt. Still (almost a smash) and really tasty.
    Good luck!

I brewed this on Saturday, but I actually moved the 5 minute addition to the 10 minute addition. The beer smells fantastic. I'll be dry hopping it tomorrow. I'm hoping to get it into the keg pretty fast. I'll definitely update this thread with tasting notes.
