Suggestion for Cabinet Fermentation Chiller

    Been real hot here and the cabinet I used for fermenting some of my beer has been hot. So I checked out the Son of a Fermantation Chiller and was thinking I could adapt it from my cabinet. I whipped up a prototype this afternoon. I think I am going to line the cabinet with 2" foam. Should I do the bottom or maybe just some carpet? Was thinking I could make a solid foam piece for the front. Should I worry about anything else? Do you think the cold damp air will mildew or mold? For now, the chiller box has a plywood front that I just taped on, need to do something better than that. Sorry for the bad pics, the women is at the beach with the camera, had to use my phone. The kegerator is in the cabinet the left. Is it worth drilling a hole into it and running a duct, and seal up the cabinet? Not to sure that one will be SWMBO approved and rather not put a hole in the side of the kegerator. If I did do this, what size line should I run? I assume I would need either a blower fan or a fan to pull the air through the duct.

    I say go for it. Athough I'm not sure if your kegerator would do well controlling both chambers. It would be cool if you had a temp controller hooked up to the fan so that when the ferm chamber hits a certain temp, the fan kicks on and pumps a blast of cold air in. If your worried about efficiency you could supplement the cooling with frozen gallon jugs or 2 liter bottles.
