Does anyone store smaller amount of specialty grain in mason jars (canning jars) instead of using plastic bags?

I use plastic locking food storage boxes of varying sizes but see no reason you couldn't use mason jars. Much easier and more secure than plastic bags.

I have. I've even gone a step further & used my foodsaver vacuum sealer with jar sealing attachment. the quart jars hold about a pound of grain.

Can the vacuum sealer be used with any mason jar lid?

I probably wouldn't use mason jars, but I might use some taller Tupperware type containers. Seems like they would store nicely and be easy to pour into the container on the scale.
