I have been planning a 1.035 session 20 IBU beer, I want to first drink through several months of inventory.

My extract is already about 3-months old and I will be storing it in a cool basement. Concerned about freshness would it be better to store my extract about 6-months then brew or brew now and store the beer a few months. Assuming either way I would start consuming the beer in September.

Brew first. A beer in the bottle is worth two in the bucket. September will come up quicker than you know it - and never know if something will come up making you wish you had the extra on hand...

If fresh and stored properly, extract will last a very long time. I imagine it will last longer than the freshness that you could enjoy in this session beer.
