I am planning on housing 3-4 STC-1000 "Ebay" Temp Controllers in a control box. Because this box would be in a central location, I'd have to extend the probe wires by soldering connections.

Are there any problems that I might encounter doing this?

Will this throw off the readout?

How long could the wires be before the signal becomes too weak?

I read somewhere that you should not solder or splice the wires because it changes the resistance of the wire. I ended up buying longer ones for my Love controllers.
