Hello, I'm a fairly new home brewer and having issues with flocculation in my starter. I was preparing to brew my first all grain beer this weekend. I also was using liquid yeast for the first time, White labs Trappist WLP500. I followed the White Labs directions on the vial and the video from their site. Sterilized and sanitized according to directions. Prepared and cooled my wort from light DME, warmed and agitated the vial, added the yeast, gave it a vigorous shake and stored at room temp. That was 24 hours ago. Occasionally through the day I give it a shake. Here is the problem... I haven't noticed any added yeast growth, no krausen at all. Any Ideas? I did not add any zinc or servomyces to the starter wort. Could this be the problem?

    Thanks Prost!!!:mug:

Do you see settled yeast on the bottom? How big was the starter? Large enough to pull a gravity sample?
