Hi, I had a leak in my keg system and my tank emptied very fast. Anyhow, i called local gas suppliers and they will only do business with me if i rent a bottle from them..

At work we have Co2 with diptube tanks .. they use that to freeze bearing assemblies.. Would that be suitable for kegging?

2nd option is where they refill extinguishers..

3rd option is drive 1hour to the (not so)LHBS :) I did search for answers, seems like fire extinguisher's place would be ok but i am not sure.

Anyway sorry if the post is a bit confusing..

I use a fire extinguisher place and they do it no problem. As a bonus when I told the guy that I was using it for kegging he told me that he mixes custom beer gas on the side if I ever needed it

My Home Depot swaps co2 tanks if you have a depot near you.

Mine got really excited when they learned I was a homebrewer. Haha I guess it's more exciting selling CO2 for beer vs. fire safety.
