    Hey guys,

As an experiment, I brewed a three gallon wort ans split it up into six 64oz growlers (with appropriate headspace), and pitched a different yeast into each of them. (Wyeast for first five and a local yeast company for the sixth)

    1-american
    2-british
    3-denny's
    4-french saison
    5-american and british
    6-hothead ale

The fermentation ran strong for about two days but they all slowly stopped. This is sooner than I would have thought. Do you guys think that the fermentation time would be shorter given the smaller volume of wort in each container?

Note: I didn't measure OG and I don't want to waste any wort to check FG.

I've never seen a specific answer to your question, but since the yeast is in the beer at the same concentration as a larger batch, I don't think the fermentation time would be effected. Maybe someone else has a more definite answer. How about fermentation temperature?

I brew in 1/2g growlers and it shouldn't make any difference. Sounds like you are done.
