I ended up with a lot of hop particle in my fermenter so I went ahead and added some gelatin and cold crashed in a refrigerator for 3 days. I haven't taken a peak yet, but I'm still concerned about picking up too much on my way to the bottling bucket. Is there anything possibly laying around the house that I could maybe rubber band around the end of my racking cane to filter out the hop particles? Any thoughts?

If you have a racking cane with one of those plastic tips that diverts the direction of the siphon upwards that will go a long way to keeping from sucking up trub.

I've had really good luck holding the siphon away from the bottom of the fermenter and then lowering it as the level drops. When I just set the siphon on the bottom and let 'er rip, it sucks up a lot of trub.
