Shelf life of opened bag of leaf hops?

    I just realized that I left a bag of Willamette that I used a small amount for a mini batch in my living room before going on vacation (1 month since and another month to go).
    I made sure to hermetically seal the bag but what are the chances that they've gone stale when I get back?
    And how can I tell?

    They can smell like pungent cheese when they stale....If they have been sitting out for two months I would toss them
